Acrylic Overflow Construction Notes

I built 2 custom overflows to replace the ancient tetra HOB boxes that I had been using. The old boxes got eaten up by all the sunshine that comes in the room and they actually broke off the back of the tank. The accident dumped saltwater into one of my power strips and shut everything down with a snap of the GFCI breaker! Fortunately I have a UPS on the system running a heater and a powerhead. When power gets interrupted, the thing beeps like mad until someone comes and resets the power.

Well, anyway, here is a link to an album of commented photographs giving an overview of the construction of the new overflows. Let me know how you like the format. I should have taken some more pictures, but I was doing the job by myself and I just didn’t want to interrupt things any more than I did.
